‘Knowledge’ in school is majorly tested on the premise of memorization of facts rather than application of it.
In a way it creates a well-informed mind than a well-formed mind.
Well Informed mind
Knows a lot about different subjects or more about one subject. [ Collins dictionary]
Well Formed mind
Ability to synthesis information, recognize patterns and connections, separate the signal from the noise.
Focus of school education
We are product of our left and right brain doing handshaking all the time. While this is necesaary for our full functioning, current school education ignores it. It focuse mainly on the left brain activities and hence we see an unbalanced output from the system.
